Let's discuss sin...
What was the first sin?
Pride.
(see Isaiah 14:12-15) It is obvious from the text that Satan’s sin was pride. He was so beautiful, so wise, and so powerful as an angel that he began to covet God’s position and authority. He refused at having to serve God and grew angry and rebellious. He did not want to serve, he wanted to be served; he, as a creature, wanted to be worshipped. How opposite of behavior from our savior Jesus Christ, who came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many.
Sadly, pride is still a huge problem today. Oh, how we refuse to listen to and serve God and instead put ourselves first.
Let's pray: Lord forgive us and help us with the changes we need to make in our life to be a better example to those around us. -Amen

I had a revelation over the weekend on my pride sin problem....I am too proud to ask for help. I tend to handle everything on my own from taking care of the kids, running them around, house work, church activities, outreach, etc...I don't like to ask my friends to help me in these areas. I realized I do this to The Lord too. He wants to hear from me and answer my prayers, there is nothing too little to ask, but my proud nature thinks I can handle it on my own and that I shouldn't bother God with such trivial problems. The Lord wants me to put down my pride and ask and accept help, from my friends and most of all from Him.
