Have been having a lot of discussion on Christian dress code, specifically in regard to women. Would love to have some input on biblical reference, as well as personal beliefs/convictions on how we, as Christians, should be dressing in a modern world.

As being a minister, I have seen people debate over this issue way too much. There is no biblical law that says what a woman should wear or not wear. Rather, the issue is one of modesty. Paul addresses the modesty of women in his first letter to Timothy. "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God" (1 Timothy 2:9-10). But wait!!! Before you feel guilty about braiding your hair or wearing jewelry or a nice new outfit, you have to consider the context of this passage. Paul addressed this issue here because the women in the church were trying to outdo each other in how they dressed, and the flashier the better. They were losing sight of the things that should adorn a godly woman—humility, sobriety, godliness, and good works. The words "dress modestly" are not used here in the context of specific garments, but rather to being clad in a modest covering. It should not be used to prove a prohibition against wearing pants (as it has been done before).
I have seen "church people" argue over women wearing pants and quote Old Testament scripture to back their argument. This is one reason Bible study is important. They are quoting out of context and must have not heard or read yet that Jesus said we are not bound to the Old Testament law anymore.
So, how should you dress?
Comfortably but modest. Be comfortable and let your conscience guide you. It is what is on the inside that really matters. It is what is on the inside that God cares about.
I too, would like to know others opinion on the matter. I have preached way more times wearing jeans than I have wearing a suit and never had a conviction about it, but have been told that it was ungodly to do that...? (this person wasn't even there by the way)

I was having a discussion about this topic today with a sister. We weren't arguing the issue, just discussing our points of view. She did point out that in Exodus 28:42 it says that skirts should be so that the thigh doesn't show. Somewhere along the lines, this is what she was taught and didn't bother to read the chapter or what was going on at the time it was written (it was referencing the undergarments that priests should where, nothing to do with the length of skirts). It seems with the invention of Google we can have a tendency to be lazy as Christians. We come across a topic, google a passage of scripture to back up our point of view with out actually diving into the word and understanding the whole concept. (atheists love to use this tactic against us as well)
The scripture you pointed out above 1Tim:9-10 does discuss how a woman should dress, but it also talks about how beauty comes from within and we are to cloth ourselves with good works. This seems like a two-way street to me. We can look Sunday morning perfect every single day of the week but if we are not letting our lights shine and are not letting are good words in Jesus' name show our beauty, what does it really matter? On the other hand, we need to be careful of how we are representing The Lord when we are serving in His name. We should be knowledgable and considerate enough to dress in a way that does not attract attention to oneself (whether it be from flashy, expensive, designer clothing to tight fitting, short shorts or low cut shirts).
Personally, I am comfortable wearing jeans. I have been approached by members of my church about the how it is inappropriate because it shows the form of the women's body and is a stumbling block to the men in the church. I have to respect that because it is what my church beliefs and if I didn't like it, I am free to attend a different church. Now I still wear my jeans, but I take care to wear long layers as not to show off my rear end.
