Most people seem to rather talk smack about our leaders when things are not going their way. Whether it be church leaders, govt. leaders, or whomever the authority belongs to, the Bible actually commands us to pray for them.
(1 Timothy 2:2) Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
Praying for our leaders can be good for you, the community you live in, and the entire nation. Leaders and authority are in charge of making life changing decisions, your intercessory prayer for godliness and holiness is crucial in my opinion. Pray for God's guidance on the decisions that are set before them. Pray that they will turn to God for guidance instead of mans own interest in power and money. Pray for peace. Lift all of the leaders you can think of from your job, the church, the government in this nation and others.
